Grenadiers @ Littlecote
Our 2008 pre Christmas Break at Littlecote proved to be very poplar with a large attendance, which included a considerable number of members from other regiments of the Household Division.
The programme was very varied with Candle Light Carol Services in the Cromwellian Chapel, an afternoon Pantomime “Beauty and the Beast”. A superb concert by the Regimental Band of the Grenadier Guards. A fine performance by our old favourites The Stage Door Johnnies. Sunday Morning saw a further concert featuring the Hungerford Town Band together with singers from the Warner Production Team.
The accommodation and food was excellent. A Grand Raffle with almost ninety substantial prizes raised a tidy sum for the Colonel’s Fund.
As always the atmosphere was first class. It is the unique atmosphere that prevails throughout the stay that is the icing on the cake.
Although as we write it is only early February, by popular request, discussions are already in place for a further “Bash” again this year 2009.
